The collection conserves over 20,000 items from the personal archives of Nino Rota (1911 - 1979) and other documents about the composer. It includes autograph and printed copies of most of his compositions, as well as drafts, scores (movie sound tracks as well as chamber and symphonic compositions), correspondence, photographs and a remarkable number of reviews ranging from the beginning of his career in 1923 to today. The collection also has a sound archives containing 32 'dat' corresponding to 128 hours of Rota's music from different and, at times, uncommon sources as well as a continuously updated library for recordings.
