Arrigo Boito

A small but 'kaleidoscopic' collection, a 'trilled' archives, made up of many 'scattered' papers pervaded by a secret aura the incoherence of which is its very coherence. There are many autographs, quite a few small, if not tiny, slips of paper (2 x 1.5 cm), an entire 'Nerone' put together 'piece by piece', friendly snapshots of more or less unknown people, illustrated postcards (written and/or blank), intellectual souvenirs, relics, manuscripts with notes, ideas and layouts for 'librettos', notebooks containing studies on musical theory, and other highly disparate materials inherent to Boito's work as a poet, musician, conductor, narrator and librettist.
