Oscar Chilesotti

The Oscar Chilesotti (1848 - 1916) Collection is an informal grouping of research materials, part of which was intended for an edition on early music and part of which simply consists of notes regarding unfinished studies. The musicologist's papers are not really a collection per se, but something more like a 'private' or 'secret' archives that traces an intellectual adventure embarked upon with pioneering zeal, liberal erudition and a free play of curiosity.
