This project involving the Italian Antonio Vivaldi Institute has the aim of preparing a critical edition of all Vivaldi’s instrumental works published in monographic or anthological collections. The critical edition consists of thirteen volumes: twelve volumes for the twelve collections with RV numbers (i.e. a single volume for each collection), plus a supplement with the fourteen compositions printed in period anthologies (RV 179, 189, 195, 220, 275, 276, 291, 335, 341, 364 e/o 364a, 456, 513, Anh. 15 and 65?). Where necessary, the critical edition will also include variations (such as alternative movements for the same composition) derived from the manuscript tradition.
