Libraries

Residents at the Vittore Branca Center have privileged access to the Fondazione Giorgio Cini libraries and archives: longer opening times and the possibility to lend books.

The Giorgio Cini Foundation libraries are specialized in the areas of art history, Venetian history, literature, music, dance and theatre. To mention only a few of the funds and bequests held in the Foundation: Eleonora Duse, Giuseppe Fiocco, Rodolfo Pallucchini, Arrigo Boito, Alfredo Casella, Gian Francesco Malipiero, Aurel Milloss, Ottorino Respighi, Nino Rota, Diego Valeri and Antonio Vivaldi.

The ideal ‘piazza’ of the new Vittore Branca International Center for the Study of Italian Culture is the Nuova Manica Lunga, recently restored into a library featuring over 500 linear meters of books on open shelving; a reception and reference area, an exhibition space; photocopying services; an Internet connection and rooms for meetings and conferences.
