Dramatized readings by actor Maria Pia Colonnello of the mainly previously
unpublished letters that the “Divine” Eleonora wrote to her beloved daughter Enrichetta
Bullough from 1892 to 1924. The letters are from the book “Ma Pupa, Henriette. Le lettere di Eleonora Duse alla figlia“by Maria Ida Biggi (Ca’ Foscari Department
of Philosophy and the Cultural Heritage), published by Marsilio in 2010.

The correspondence between Eleonora Duse and her daughter Enrichetta Marchetti
Bullough is a very original rich source providing insight into the early years
of the 20th century and especially the Great War years.
The letters sent by Eleonora Duse to her daughter, who transcribed most of them
in notebooks, are now in the Duse Archive in the Study Centre for Documentary
Research into European Theatre and Opera, the Giorgio Cini Foundation, Venice.
