Music on San Giorgio. Concerts at “Lo Squero” Auditorium

The eighth edition of the “Lo Squero” Auditorium Concert Season, organised in collaboration with Asolo Musica, will begin on Saturday 4 March.
Johann Sebastian Bach remains one of the leitmotifs of this season, with the now unmissable presence of Mario Brunello and his project with the violoncello piccolo, as well as other artists who will tackle the literature of the great master from Eisenach: Gile Bae at the piano with the Concerto Italiano and the Arte della Fuga featuring the violas of the Italian Instrumental Academy. Other ‘resident’ guests include the members of the Quartetto di Venezia, who will offer the first part of the complete performance of Beethoven’s quartets as well as a special tribute to Gian Francesco Malipiero on the fiftieth anniversary of his death. A welcome return will be that of Uri Caine, the great American pianist, very much in love with Venice and Lo Squero venue.
Veneto Jazz brings its live music back to Lo Squero Auditorium as part of the fifteenth edition of the Venice Jazz Festival, one of the most prestigious international festivals in the field, hosted in the city’s most intriguing venues. The collaboration with the Fondazione Giorgio Cini is due to take place on 24 June and 22 July 2023, with two concerts dedicated to the most innovative expressions of contemporary jazz research, provided by leading musicians from both the Italian and world scene.
The festival programme will be available shortly at www.venetojazz.com.
