TIEPOLO
Edited by Giuseppe Pavanello, this book brings together writings on
Giandomenico and Giambattista Tiepolo published by Adriano Mariuz from
1971 to 2004.
Mariuz explores the work of the two artists in a masterful style,
revealing a critical acumen that places him among the most perceptive
interpreters of 18th-century Venetian art and the most sensitive
historians of contemporary art.
This book is the first in a new series entitled Scritti di storici dell’arte veneta
(“Writings by historians of Veneto Art”), promoted by the Giorgio Cini
Foundation Institute for Art History in collaboration with the Veneto
Region with the aim of publishing the most significant texts by experts
on Veneto art.
