Taking place from 7th to 15th September 2019, The Venice Glass Week is an international festival dedicated to celebrating, supporting and promoting the art of glassmaking – the artistic and economic activity for which the Lagoon City has been renowned around the world for over 1000 years.

The festival is promoted by the Town Council of Venice, and conceived and organized by Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, LE STANZE DEL VETRO – Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti and Consorzio Promovetro Murano.

The first edition in 2017 featured a programme of over 150 events at over 100 venues around Venice and Murano, attracting an audience of more than 75,000 visitors from Venice, Italy and abroad. The second edition in 2018 featured over 180 events at over 160 venues across Venice, Murano and Mestre, attracting more than 91,000 visitors – a sure sign of the dynamism and vitality of Venice’s cultural scene, and a strong indication of the growing international interest in the field of glass. The third edition of the festival will build on this success, and is set to be even more ambitious, exciting and impactful.
