The Intercultural Institute for Comparative Music Studies resumes\u00a0its activities in the field of contemporary dance while also staging an\u00a0event featuring Korean performing arts. The Institute has not organised
\nan event on Korea for many years and the show is also intended\u00a0to coincide with the return to teaching Korean language and literature\u00a0courses at Ca\u2019 Foscari University, Venice. The show has been specifically
\ncreated for the Fondazione Giorgio Cini by the Korean choreographer\u00a0Cho Yong Min with the company A+M (Asia Movement),\u00a0of which Cho Yong Min is director, and in collaboration with the\u00a0Pyung-In Korean Dance Company and the Nol Eum Pan Korean Traditional\u00a0Music Team. In the first part of the show artists will present\u00a0traditional music and dance associated with Shaman rituals, linked\u00a0symbolically by the colour white, which is connected to the idea of\u00a0death and rebirth and rituals enacting a reconciliation with the supernatural world. The same\u00a0musicians will then accompany the dancers in a performance of contemporary choreography.
\nBorrowing and re-elaborating movements from traditional dance, this choreography sets out\u00a0to explore the sphere of the senses and the space surrounding us.
