Fondo del Laboratorio de Estudos do Espa\u00e7o Teatral e Mem\u00f3ria Urbana, 2011<\/span><\/sub><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of a cooperation project involving the <strong>Universit\u00e0 di Padova<\/strong> and the <strong>Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) \u2013 VI Missione Lavoro<\/strong>, the Theatre Study Centre is hosting a lecture on the architect <strong>Lina Bo Bardi<\/strong> by Professor <strong>Evelyn Furquim Werneck Lima<\/strong> from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Laborat\u00f3rio de Estudos do Espa\u00e7o Teatral e Mem\u00f3ria Urbana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entitled <strong><em>Lina Bo Bardi\u2019s contribution to theatre architecture and stage design in Brazil<\/em><\/strong>, the lecture will consider examples of Bardi\u2019s projects for redesigned or refurbished theatre interiors as well as stage designs. Prof. Lima will also discuss the architect\u2019s Marxist outlook and her work for theatre and the cultural heritage in general.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Born in Rome in 1914, Lina Bo Bardi moved to Brazil with her husband Pietro Maria Bardi after the war. In S\u00e3o Paulo and Salvador she practiced as a professional architect and was also a university lecturer.
