Books at San Giorgio, a series of meetings presenting the latest publications concerning or by
\nthe Fondazione Cini, has now reached its twelfth edition.<\/p>\n
On 29 March<\/strong>, the featured book, Illusione scenica e pratica teatrale. Atti del Conference Internazionale\u00a0di studi in onore di Elena Povoledo<\/strong><\/em>, edited by Maria Ida Biggi (Le Lettere, Florence,\u00a02016), brings together the results of the conference in honour of Elena Povoledo, held at the\u00a0Fondazione Giorgio Cini on 16 and 17 November 2015. Thanks to the contribution of international\u00a0scholars and lecturers, the Institute of Theatre and Opera duly commemorated this\u00a0pioneering figure in the study of the relations between the figurative arts and theatre.<\/p>\n Next up, on 11 April<\/strong>, is the Catalogo descrittivo dei manoscritti del Fondo Alain Dani\u00e9lou della\u00a0Fondazione Giorgio Cini<\/strong>, edited by Nicola Biondi. Published in the \u201cIntersezioni Musicali\u201d\u00a0series, promoted by the Intercultural Institute for Comparative Music Studies, this catalogue is\u00a0the initial result of the long, meticulous task of re-ordering and analysing the Dani\u00e9lou Archive\u00a0with its over 200, mainly Sanskrit manuscripts. The catalogue will be presented by Lars-Christian\u00a0Koch, director of the Phonogramm-Archiv, Berlin, an expert on Indian music, and Antonio\u00a0Rigopoulos, professor of Sanskrit at Ca\u2019 Foscari University, Venice.<\/p>\n The last presentation, on 19 April<\/strong>, will focus on Roberto De Feo\u2019s Giuseppe Borsato 1770-1849<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0published by the Institute of Art History in its series \u201cSaggi e profili di arte veneta\u201d.
