Coordinated by Ellen Rosand and Stefano La Via, the event will bring together scholars and performers with diverse skills and backgrounds. The intense two-day conference is divided into three sessions. The first two sessions \u2012 entitled <em>L\u2019Incoronazione di Poppea: from Busenello to Monteverdi<\/em> and <em>Poppea vs. Ulisse:<\/em> <em>keys for interpretation and performance<\/em> \u2012 will held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on 16 June, while the last session, <em>History and criticism of stage productions, <\/em>will take place in the Sale Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice on 17 June.<\/p>\n<p>After the conference and a performance of the \u201cMonteverdi Trilogy\u201d, conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner will meet Tim Carter and the other speakers. Among those invited to take part are Guillaume Bernardi, Mauro Calcagno, Jane Glover, Wendy Heller, Mario Infelise, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Lattarico, Maria Martino, Magnus Schneider, Hendrik Schultze, Anna Tedesco and Nicola Usula.<\/p>\n<p>In concomitance with the conference at the\u00a0<strong>Teatro La Fenice<\/strong>, Sir John Eliot\u00a0Gardiner\u00a0at the head of the Monteverdi\u00a0Choir\u00a0and\u00a0Orchestras\u00a0will stage the Monteverdi Trilogy:<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teatrolafenice.it\/site\/index.php?pag=21&amp;spettacolo=25023&amp;lingua=ita\">\u00a0<em>Orfeo<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teatrolafenice.it\/site\/index.php?pag=21&amp;spettacolo=25024&amp;lingua=ita\"><em>Il ritorno d\u2019Ulisse in patria<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teatrolafenice.it\/site\/index.php?pag=21&amp;spettacolo=25025&amp;lingua=ita\"><em>L\u2019incoronazione di Poppea<\/em><\/a>. For its world premi\u00e8re in Venice, this production will have a cast of young singers selected by Gardiner\u00a0from among the students who came from Italy, Britain and France to take part in a series of preparatory workshops for the operas entitled the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cini.it\/events\/laboratorio-e-symposium-internazionale-accademia-monteverdi\">Accademia Monteverdian<\/a>a.
