As part of the events associated with the digital enhancement project\u00a0of the Mediterranean Linguistic Atlas, a seminar organised by the\u00a0Fondazione Giorgio Cini will be held on San Giorgio in collaboration\u00a0with the Centre for Sicilian Philological and Linguistic Studies, Palermo;\u00a0the Department of Juridical Sciences, Language, Interpretation and\u00a0Translation at the University of Trieste; the Department of Asian,\u00a0African and Mediterranean Studies at L\u2019Orientale University, Naples;\u00a0and ALEPO (Linguistic and Ethnographic Atlas of Eastern Piedmont)\u00a0in the Department of Humanities Studies at the University of Turin.
\nThe topics addressed will concern: assigning linguistic areas to area managers (by Giovanni\u00a0Ruffino, Franco Crevatin, Riccardo Contini, and Tullio Telmon); the presentation of projects\u00a0for the involvement of the new generations (training seminars and scholarships); defining\u00a0methods and objectives and the sharing of materials online; describing the so-called \u201carea\u00a0monographs\u201d; and the presentation of the new bulletin for the Mediterranean Linguistic\u00a0Atlas (BALM).<\/p>\n
