In the 20th century, some scholars began\u00a0to study the connections between Christian, Islamic and Jewish esotericism,\u00a0but much remains to be explored. This conference will look\u00a0both in present and past contexts. It will help us to understand to\u00a0what extent the category of esotericism can be used in other religious<br \/>\nand cultural contexts and will enable us to address the esoteric-spiritual\u00a0dimension within each religion. The conference has been organised\u00a0in collaboration with Dilek Sarmis and Mark Sedgwick. Dilek\u00a0Sarmis is a researcher at the Center d\u2019\u00c9tudes Turques, Ottomanes,\u00a0Balkaniques et Centrasiatiques (CETOBaC \u2013\u00a0 EHESS), Paris, and\u00a0Mark Sedgwick is a professor at the University of Aarhus and a founder of the European<br \/>\nNetwork for the Study of Islam and Esotericism (ENSIE).
