Organised in conjunction with the International Conference on Italian Architectural Culture in Russia from Catherine II to Alexander I<\/em>, the exhibition presents a selection of drawing and documents from the archives belonging to the families of Adamini and Gilardi, two architects originally from Bigogno d’Agra and Montagnola who were active in St Petersburg and Moscow between the late-eighteenth and mid-nineteenth century.
\nThe Adamini Archives documents the endeavours of two generations of architects who worked on the banks of the Neva between the late-1700s and the mid-1800s.
\nThe Gilardi Archives gathers together the testimonies of the two family members active in Russia, especially Moscow, in the first half of the nineteenth century: Domenico (1785-1845) and Alessandro (1808-1871).
\nThe exhibition is organised in collaboration with Archivio del Moderno, Accademia di architettura, Universit\u00e0 della Svizzera Italiana<\/p>\n
