This will be followed by a second encounter, on 23 March, dedicated to the volume Per un archivio fotografico dell\u2019arte italiana. Vittorio Cini, la Fondazione Giorgio Cini e la Fratelli Alinari<\/em>: proceedings of the study day edited by Monica Bassanello, Simone Guerriero and Ilaria Turetta. The volume, published by Marsilio, brings together the results of day (held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, 2018) organised by the History of Art Institute, in collaboration with Fratelli Alinari, which has now become the Fondazione Alinari per la Fotografia.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The third appointment, on 17 April, will be dedicated to Maria Ida Biggi\u2019s book entitled La scena magica di Mischa Scandella<\/em>. The publication, published as part of the activities of the National Committee for the celebrations of the centenary of Mischa Scandella\u2019s birth (1921\u20132021), traces the artistic career of the Venetian set designer, from his early experiences in the context of university theatre to the productions he staged with the main Italian directors of the second half of the twentieth century. The book is also full of testimonies and offers an extensive gallery of images taken from Scandella\u2019s own archive, now housed at the Institute of Theatre and Opera.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The final appointment will be on 27 April with the presentation of the book Multa renascentur. Tammaro De Marinis studioso, bibliofilo, antiquario, collezionista<\/em>, including conference proceedings, edited by Ilenia Maschietto. The volume describes the outcome of the conference held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini and organised by the Institute of Art History on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Tammaro De Marinis (1878\u20131969), Neapolitan by birth and Florentine by adoption.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
