The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi organizes eight meetings<\/strong> on the performance practice of the compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, dedicated to young singers and musicians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Each meeting will take place at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice, and will last for three whole days<\/strong>, from 2 pm on the first day (Wednesday) to 1 pm on the fourth day (Saturday).<\/p>\n

The teachers are Gemma Bertagnolli<\/strong> (singing), Giorgio Fava<\/strong> (violin) and Walter Vestidello<\/strong> (cello). Harpsichord: Antonio Frig\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From 14th<\/sup> to 17th<\/sup> February: Sacred vocal music (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 14th<\/sup> to 17th<\/sup> March: Secular vocal music (cantatas and serenate) (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 18th<\/sup> to 21st<\/sup> April: Violin sonatas (for one or two violins and B.C.) (Giorgio Fava)<\/p>\n

From 16th<\/sup> to 19th<\/sup> May: Musical dramas I (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 6th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup> June: Cello sonatas (Walter Vestidello)<\/p>\n

From 24th<\/sup> to 27th<\/sup> October: Musical dramas II (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 14th<\/sup> to 17th<\/sup> November: Cello concertos (Walter Vestidello)<\/p>\n

From 12th<\/sup> to 15th<\/sup> December: Violin concertos (Giorgio Fava)<\/p>\n

For each meeting, no more than seven active students<\/strong> will be admitted at the sole discretion of the commission.<\/p>\n

The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi will provide scholarships<\/strong>, which will cover the costs of attendance, for all students admitted.<\/p>\n

Students can also stay on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, at the Residenza of Vittore Branca International Center of Italian Civilization, in a single room at a price of 55 euros per night or in a double room at a price of 85 euros per night.<\/p>\n

– link to a video recording a performance of two pieces by Antonio Vivaldi or other author of the same period.<\/p>\n

Individual students or pre-established ensembles<\/strong> (1 or 2 violins + basso continuo) will be admitted to the courses.<\/p>\n

At the end of each meeting a certificate of attendance will be issued on request.<\/p>\n

The meetings are also open to auditors, upon request and following approval.<\/p>\n
