The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi organizes eight meetings<\/strong> on the performance practice of the compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, dedicated to young singers <\/strong>(max 39 years) and musicians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Each meeting will take place at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice, and will last for three whole days<\/strong>, from 2 pm on the first day to 1 pm on the fourth day.<\/p>\n

The teachers are Gemma Bertagnolli<\/strong> (singing), Giorgio Fava<\/strong> (violin), Walter Vestidello<\/strong> (cello) and Antonio Frig\u00e9 <\/strong>(Basso continuo).<\/p>\n

From 6th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup> February: Vivaldian vocality: sacred music, chamber singings, operas (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 6th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup> March: Violin sonatas, Cello sonatas and Triosonatas (Giorgio Fava and Walter Vestidello)<\/p>\n

From 10th<\/sup> to 13st<\/sup> April: Vivaldian vocality: sacred music, chamber singings, operas (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 22nd<\/sup> to 25th<\/sup> May: Vivaldian vocality: sacred music, chamber singings, operas (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 10th<\/sup> to 13th<\/sup> July: Vivaldian vocality: sacred music, chamber singings, operas (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 18th<\/sup>-21st<\/sup> September: Vivaldian vocality: sacred music, chamber singings, operas (Gemma Bertagnolli)<\/p>\n

From 23rd<\/sup> – 26th<\/sup> October: Basso continuo in Vivaldi compositions (Antonio Frig\u00e9)<\/p>\n

From 25th<\/sup> – 30th<\/sup> November: Violin concertos and Cello concertos (Giorgio Fava and Walter Vestidello)<\/p>\n

Two concerts will be organized during the Academy: one on July 13 and one – at the conclusion of the Accademia – on November 30 at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, in Lo Squero Auditorium, on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For each meeting, no more than ten active students<\/strong> will be admitted at the sole discretion of the commission.<\/p>\n

The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi will provide scholarships<\/strong>, which will cover the costs of attendance, for all students admitted.<\/p>\n

Students can also stay on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, at the Residenza of the Vittore Branca International Center for Studies of Italian Civilization (the cost of the accommodation will be paid by the student).<\/p>\n

– detailed curriculum vitae<\/em><\/p>\n

– copy of an identity document<\/p>\n

– link to a video recording a performance of two pieces by Antonio Vivaldi or other author of the same period.<\/p>\n

Individual students or pre-established ensembles<\/strong> (1 or 2 violins + basso continuo) will be admitted to the courses.<\/p>\n

For strings it is necessary to have a baroque frame (A and E bare gut) and a baroque bow; Diapason\u00a0415 Hz.<\/p>\n

The meeting on the Basso Continuo is open to all harmonic instruments (keyboards, lutes, theorbos and harps).<\/p>\n

At the end of each meeting a certificate of attendance will be issued on request.<\/p>\n

The meetings are also open to auditors, upon request and following approval.<\/p>\n
