The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi organizes\u00a0five<\/span><\/span>\u00a0meetings<\/span>\u00a0on the performance practice of the compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, dedicated to young\u00a0<\/span>singers\u00a0<\/span>(max 39 years)<\/span>\u00a0and musicians<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each meeting will take place at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teachers are\u00a0<\/span>Gemma Bertagnolli<\/span>\u00a0(Singing),\u00a0<\/span>Giorgio Fava<\/span>\u00a0(Violin),\u00a0<\/span>Walter Vestidello<\/span>\u00a0(Cello) and\u00a0<\/span>Antonio Frig\u00e9\u00a0<\/span>(Basso Continuo).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From July 15<\/span> to 18<\/span>: <\/span>Singing.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

From September 16<\/span>\u00a0to 19<\/span>: <\/span>Singing.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

From 28 to 31 October<\/span>: <\/span>Basso continuo<\/span><\/i>. Harmonization of the bass in the compositions and at the time of Vivaldi.<\/span><\/p>\n

From 11 to 14 November<\/span>: <\/span>Singing<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

From December 15 to 19<\/span>: <\/span>Singing, Violin and Cello<\/span><\/i>. For this meeting, the program for strings will focus on concerts for solo violin or cello and orchestra but also for more soloists and orchestra.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For <\/span>singers<\/b>, the choice of the pieces to be performed during the meetings is left to the discretion of the participant as long as it remains exclusively within the compositions of Antonio Vivaldi.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For each meeting, no more than <\/span>ten active students<\/b> will be admitted at the sole discretion of the commission.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi will provide <\/span>scholarships<\/b>, which will cover the costs of the enrollment and the attendance to the course, for all students admitted.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– detailed <\/span>curriculum vitae<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

– copy of an identity document<\/span><\/p>\n

– link to a video recording a performance of two pieces by Antonio Vivaldi or other author of the same period.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Individual students or pre-established ensembles<\/b> (1 or 2 violins + basso continuo or small groups with singer\/s and instruments, the latter only in the meetings of December) will be admitted to the courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

For strings it is necessary to have a baroque frame (A and E bare gut) and a baroque bow; Diapason\u00a0415 Hz.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting on the Basso Continuo is open to all harmonic instruments (keyboards, lutes, theorbos and harps).<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of each meeting a certificate of attendance will be issued on request.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meetings are also open to auditors, upon request and following approval.<\/span><\/p>\n
