CODE OF ETHICS OF THE JOURNAL \u201cARTE VENETA\u201d<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cArte Veneta\u201d is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that is informed by the guidelines established by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), <\/span>Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors<\/span><\/i>. The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are committed to adopting all possible measures to ensure ethical standards throughout the publication process. All parties involved \u2014 the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, external Reviewers, and Authors \u2014 are aware of and share the following principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND EDITORIAL BOARD<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are responsible for deciding whether submitted contributions should be published. This decision is based on an initial internal assessment followed by an anonymous double-blind peer-review process conducted by expert reviewers (referees), who are affiliated with universities, research institutions, and cultural organizations, or who are independent scholars of proven international expertise and experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board evaluate submissions solely on the basis of their scholarly merit, relevance, and originality, without discrimination regarding the Authors\u2019 gender, sexual orientation, religion, origin, nationality, or political views. In reaching their decisions, they also take into account the opinions expressed by the Reviewers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the event of conflicting reviews, the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board reserve the right to submit the contribution to a third anonymous expert reviewer. The final decision, however, always rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board may request that Authors make corrections or additions deemed necessary, including those arising from the anonymous evaluations provided by the Reviewers. Authors may submit observations and\/or objections regarding such requests, upon which the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board will express their judgment. The Editor-in-Chief also reserves the right to make editorial changes in order to ensure consistency throughout the journal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board undertake not to disclose information concerning submitted contributions to anyone other than the parties directly involved, such as the Authors, the Reviewers, and the publisher. They are also prohibited from using or disseminating unpublished materials contained in submitted contributions without the Authors\u2019 prior and explicit consent.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

REVIEWERS<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n

The anonymous double-blind peer-review process must be conducted fairly and objectively. Reviewers receive contributions in anonymous form and are required to decline the review assignment whenever the topics addressed overlap with their own research areas or may give rise to conflicts of interest.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reviewers undertake to support their evaluations with appropriate and well-documented observations, avoiding judgments based on personal or ideological considerations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reviewers are encouraged to identify any errors, omissions, or overlaps found within the contributions, specifying the relevant sources whenever appropriate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AUTHORS<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n

Authors guarantee the originality of the submitted contribution and its exclusive submission to the journal, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors are required to acknowledge correctly all sources used, in accordance with the editorial guidelines established for publication in the journal, and to clearly identify both direct and indirect quotations from other authors.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authorship of the contribution must be clearly indicated, and all individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research or the writing of the article must be listed as co-authors. In the case of a jointly authored contribution, the submitting author must specify the names of all Authors and\/or the sections for which each is responsible, while also guaranteeing the unanimous consent of all Authors to publication in the journal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors must disclose any funding bodies that supported the research or project from which the article derives.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors undertake to provide images that are free of copyright restrictions or, alternatively, accompanied by all necessary permissions for publication. They guarantee that such materials do not infringe the rights of third parties, including copyright and related rights. The journal declines all responsibility for any such infringements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Critical essays \u2014 whether submitted independently by authors or commissioned by invitation\u2014are subject to review by the Editorial Board and the journal\u2019s anonymous reviewers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Essential requirements for acceptance are the originality of the manuscript and its exclusive submission to the journal \u201cArte Veneta\u201d. Essays must be prepared in accordance with the journal\u2019s Editorial Guidelines and submitted in Word format (1 folder = 2,000 characters). Illustrations should be provided in a separate file, accompanied by their respective captions, in digital format (minimum resolution: 300 dpi at 15 \u00d7 15 cm). <\/span>Articles written in English, French, German, or Spanish should be submitted in the original language.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors are responsible for obtaining and paying any copyright fees required for the images accompanying their text.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The author\u2019s name and contact details (postal address, telephone number, and email address) must be submitted in a separate file.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All materials must be submitted by 30 September of each year in order to be considered for inclusion in the volume scheduled for publication by September of the following year.
