Labelled the “Woodstock of Poetry in Motion”, this film is an
unprecedented anthology of the verse output of some great 20th-century
American poets, who sing, recite and read their work in all kinds of
reciting styles and in their preferred settings (in private or in the
midst of an audience), with a flourish of explanations as they describe
the oral nature of their verse-making.
