Composing with the sounds of the landscape

This is the final event of the course "Composing with the sounds of the landscape", dedicated to the study and experimental techniques in digital audio development of creative soundscapes.
The experience, developed in accordance with the World Soundscape Project theorists at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, was conducted using audio material recorded in some places Venetians particularly significant from the point of view of ambient sounds that characterize the urban landscape and the workplace.
The event includes a public performance of students, through a system of 8-channel audio playback and live electronics, a display of the Arazzi laptop ensemble, and the preview of the www.veneziasoundmap.org website, designed with the goal of providing a graphic overview of the typical sounds of the city through a navigable database recorded audio samples.
