Musica on San Giorgio inaugurates a new concert season in 2026 at the ‘Lo Squero’ Auditorium, driven by an intense dialogue between artists, projects and repertoires.
The 11th edition of Asolo Musica brings together outstanding performers with programmes devised as genuine paths of musical introspection, between the classical and the contemporary, tradition and outlook. The Quartetto di Venezia opens and closes the season with a chamber music itinerary that spans from Mozart, Beethoven, Kodály, Schumann and Schubert, to the languages of Weinberg, Ginastera, Nyman and Cacioppo. Highlights include the return of Mario Brunello, featured in two concerts combining Bach, Telemann and Scipriani, and that of harpsichordist Christoph Rousset, an outstanding interpreter of the Baroque repertoire.
In co-production with the Palazzetto Bru Zane, Orazio Sciortino offersa fascinating piano fresco combining Rossini, Liszt, Farrenc and Alkan. The Beethoven 199 project with Mauro Loguercio and Emanuela Piemonti offers the rare complete set of the Symphonies transcribed by Hans Sitt, while Giovanni Sollima joins the ‘Il Pomo d’Oro’ ensemble in an encounter that unleashes new sound emotions and surprising creative vitality.
Veneto Jazz brings its music to the ‘Lo Squero’ Auditorium with two stages of the Jazz& review, dedicated to international jazz and contemporary music and now in its ninth edition. On 7 March and 16 May 2026, leading protagonists of the national and international scene will be featured against the beauty of this stage on the lagoon, in search of new sounds and inspirations. Moreover, as part of the eighteenth edition of the Venezia Jazz Festival, the prestigious summer festival held by Veneto Jazz, the ‘Lo Squero’ Auditorium will host one of the most enchanting events on 27 June.
