The Collection of Consul Smith

The graphic collection alone covers a fascinating gamut of the artists working in Venice in Smith’s time. Alongside the celebrated Canaletto (Smith was both his patron and merchant), it includes works by Marco and Sebastiano Ricci, Giambattista Piazzetta and Antonio Visentini, as well as master drawings by Raphael, the Carracci brothers, Guido Reni and Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione.
