Workshop on Indian percussion Tabla held by Sankha Chattopahdyay

Workshop on Indian tabla (Indian percussion) a classical Indian membranophone, made through the coupling of timpani and a cylindrical drum, that can be played both solo and as accompaniment.
The workshop is held by Sankha Chatterjee (his master was Ustad Alla Rakka) of the University of Calcutta, an illustrious musician who has accompanied the major performers of classical Indian music. Sankha Chatterjee has been leading the tabla course at the Intercultural Institute of Comparative Music Studies in Venice since 1979.
The course is open to beginners and more advanced students.
