Meeting in the Photo Library

The series entitled Meetings in the Photo Library. The Photographic Archives in the Institute of Art History, aims to attract specialists and art historians, but also anyone interested in furthering their knowledge about the photographic collections and the people who put them together.

On 13 November Marilena Tamassia from the Polo Museale Fiorentino will introduce Nicolò Cipriani (1892-1968), photographer of the Gabinetto Fotografico of the Superintendence of Florence, and the project of the “Fototeca Italiana”, a collection of more than 150.000 pictures, preserved nowadays in the archives of the Institute of Art History.
