The Fondazione Giorgio Cini is holding the second edition of Free Books Day, a lively way of promoting and spreading knowledge. The aim of the event is to share some of the cultural heritage at the Foundation by making available hundreds of books for free.  In fact, after making a donation of €10 at the entrance, book-lovers will be given a Fondazione Giorgio Cini tote bag. They will then be able to choose from a wide array of books laid out on tables.

Each person can take home as many free books as fit into one Fondazione Cini tote bag.  The previous edition featured all kinds of books and publications, such as essays, catalogues, periodicals on art history, music history and musical composition, Oriental studies, the history of Venice and the Veneto, specialised monographs and much more.
